About Us

Built by people who know the equipment room

Helmet Tracker started 14 years ago with a simple problem: coaches and equipment managers were tracking helmets, reconditioning dates, and player assignments on spreadsheets, clipboards, and memory. When a helmet needed to be pulled, recertified, or accounted for, the answer was buried somewhere. We built a better way.

Today, our platform helps K-12 schools, colleges, and professional teams manage every piece of equipment and uniform they own, from the day it arrives to the day it's retired. Programs like the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills rely on us, and so do high school athletic directors running a program with a small staff and a tight budget.

What We Believe

  • Player safety starts with knowing exactly what's on the field and when it was last certified.

  • ADs, Coaches, and Equipment managers are stretched thin. Software should save them time, not add work.

  • Good records protect programs. When someone asks for documentation, you should have it in seconds.

  • The same tools the pros use should be available at every level of the game.

One platform, built for every level

Helmet Tracker is part of our software family:

  • Equipment Essentials for schools and youth leagues

  • EquipmentOps for colleges and professional teams

  • HelmetTracker for reconditioners and the helmet industry

Where we come from

We're based in Lenexa, Kansas, in the heart of Kansas City. We've spent more than a decade listening to equipment managers, athletic directors, and reconditioners, and nearly every feature we've built came from a conversation with one of them.

Let's talk

If you're ready to spend less time chasing equipment and more time supporting your athletes, we'd like to show you how it works.
